This model in the Kayak Rack Series is an evolution of an already great design. The patent pending “Laidback” features, along with the patent pending “Trolling” features, make fishing from a kayak even easier and more productive.
In the “Laidback” feature, you just move the latch from over the handle, and lay the rods back! This is great for low overhead obstacles such as low-water bridges and trees overhanging the lake or river where you fish.
With the “Fold-Out” feature, you are able to create a trolling spread with the rod holders attached to the storage crate. This means you have your storage, you have the Laidback feature, and now you have the easiest way to set your rods in a fan pattern for trolling. Simply lift the top latch and rod-holder articulates outwards to 45 degrees (outer rod holder) and 30 degrees (inner moveable rod holder), respectively.
All of our products use 6061 aircraft grade aluminum that is powder-coat in house to ensure a quality product. It also has all stainless steel hardware for durability in marine environments. This product is equally at home in the ocean or freshwater.
