The Breakaway OTG Impact Shields are based on the tried and tested original Impact Shield but are designed to lock the hook in place to prevent early release when using an OTG (off the ground) cast. The Breakaway OTG Impact Shields uses a metal central pin which locks the hook in position until water pressure releases it upon impact with the sea.
