Texas Bluewater Kayak Classic 2017
Get ready for the Texas Bluewater Kayak Classic – two extreme kayak fishing tournaments with the biggest payouts in a kayak tournament in Texas – taking place July 1st and August 26th!
Test your skills against some of the best anglers from Texas and across the country for a chance to win some awesome prizes, and the right to call yourself a true CHAMPION at the end of the series. The Texas Bluewater Kayak Classic will prove that here in Texas, we have a fishing style unlike any other. We expect the best and will provide the best!
Some of the Rules

The tournaments will be held Saturday July 8th, 2017, and Saturday August 26th 2017 with a back up Rain Out/Wind Out dates to be determined if needed. Tournament will be an “honor start” with no kayaks in the water earlier than 6:45 AM CST. All lines must be removed from the water by 4:15 PM CST.

All fish must be caught on rod and reel with artificial lures, live bait or dead bait from a kayak, or hybrid sail kayak. No motorized vessels allowed. No bowfishing, trot lining, jug lining, or spear fishing will be permitted. All Sharks, Billfish and Grouper must be released. All other fish have the option of being kept and harvested per Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations.
Kayaks and Human-Power Only
This is a kayak fishing tournament and ALL catches must be made from a kayak (no wading or spear fishing). Pedal drive and hybrid sail kayaks are allowed. Otherwise, no motorized mechanics for propulsion will be allowed. Mothershipping is not allowed in this tournament. You must travel over water under human power via paddling, pedaling or sailing in hybrid sail kayak.
The weigh-in will be at Roy’s Bait and Tackle Outfitters (same as check in) and will begin at 3:00PM CST and end at 5:00 PM CST. Anglers must be in line for weigh in no later than 4:55 PM CST. All anglers must check-in at Roy’s Bait and Tackle Outfitters even if not weighing fish to allow for a 100% accountability for safety.
Raffles will be held at the weigh-in. Tickets will be available at check-in and weigh-in for $10 a piece and proceeds will go to the Take a Warrior Fishing Foundation.
Begin North at the Port A Jetties and end South at the 6 mile marker. Tournament participants may not launch south of the 6 mile Marker.
